Ninja and Samus

A number of months ago, I heard from the owner of Samus, a dog who looks JUST like Ninja. We have been exchanging pictures and messages since then, but a few days ago we had a chance to have Ninja and Samus meet at the Huntington Dog Beach in CA. They had a blast! Mike came over yesterday to meet Ninja. They hit it off smashingly. Mike asked if he could be included in Ninja’s blog, and Ninja approved. Here’s a picture. Don’t they kind of look like brothers? (Not in appearance, but in demeanor and expression — as if this were a family photo)

Ninja’s first Meetup

After a morning of herding sheep (yes, really), Ninja went to his first NYC Area Husky Meetup Group meetup, at Carl Schurz Park. Ninja’s new neighbor Quptas was there too. Quptas is a 3-month old husky puppy who lives on the same floor as Ninja in our apartment building.

Ninja’s Internet Admirer

In January, we posted on the Western Massachusetts craigslist, to find some playmates for Ninja while we were in Williamstown. We lucked out, because less than 1 hour after posting, we heard from Juneau and Luna, a pair of huskies that became fast friends with Ninja.

… but we weren’t counting on receiving another response today, almost one month later:

Ever the considerate pup, Ninja responded to her message and politely informed her that he doesn’t have play-dates with humans, but that he’s quite confident she’ll have no problem finding a partner for frisbee or or roughhousing soon.

Ninja moved (apartments)

A few months ago Ninja moved internet hosting providers. Now he’s moving apartments. We placed some cookies around the apartment, and then let Ninja inside to explore. We videotaped it. Unfortunately there wasn’t much lighting inside so some of the shots are pretty dark.

Ninja’s face is dirty because he has just come inside from the park. He was playing with a chow, mini-collie, and a shi tzu.
